USA Today just premiered a new way to see the news in October 2016. VRtually There lets you go beyond static images with 360 degree images that let you experience the news in an entirely new way.
Part news story and part exploration, in each video you will see images that let you spin around to see all sides of the story. You are no longer seeing the news just from one perspective. Each episode is under 8 minutes and features multiple segments such as traveling through Hong Kong, swimming with sharks or canyoneering in Arizona. Luckily you can use almost any format to watch these episodes including a desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile device or of course a VR headset like Google Cardboard.
- These stories could be used from elementary to high school in a variety of content areas since the stories are very diverse.
- This is a great resource for students that often finish assignments early and need an extra bit of stimulation and challenge.
